Doug Wilder

Doug has been consulting with Atlas for over 10 years. He has almost 30 years of experience in Fortune 500 companies and public accounting as an executive in financial, operational and strategic positions. He retired from Verizon as the Chief Financial Officer of the Retail Markets organization, the wireline sales and marketing business with over $20 billion in revenue and 30 million consumer and small business customers. He is also a CPA licensed in New York State.

Doug prepared for his shift from large to smaller companies by participating as a member of SCORE, “Counselors to America’s Small Business.” He was the Chair of the Nassau County chapter in 2009 and 2010. In that role, he led SCORE’s efforts to provide free counseling services to small businesses in Nassau County, New York. He has provided counseling to over 100 small businesses or people wanting to start their own businesses.

Ever wonder what it would be like to be the owner of a winning Thoroughbred? Just ask Doug. He has always had a strong interest in horse racing and now owns Thoroughbreds of his own. He’s been in the winning circle over 25 times!
